Thomas Strain is from Burnfoot. He was introduced to music through his father and grandmother and soon developed a love for fiddle playing and composition. He has performed and taught at many Cairdeas Na bhFidiléirí events. Thomas is a great exponent of the Donegal fiddle tradition and is greatly influenced by the playing of Tommy Peoples.
