Mairead O’Connor is from Carndonagh and like her sister Siobhan has won many accolades at county and All-Ireland level. Mairead has devoted much of her time to the local Comhaltas group Seamus MacGiolla Bhride and is also active with the Donegal County Board of Comhaltas. Mairead is a music graduate of University of Ulster, and now back living in Inishowen is actively teaching in the area.
